About Jane

Jane Hunter is a Psychotherapist in private practice working with individuals, couples, and families in Grand Cayman.

While attending graduate school, Jane Hunter completed her counselling training at Her Majesty’s Northward Prison, Her Majesty’s Fairbanks Prison, Caribbean Haven Residential Centre, and the Cayman Islands Cancer Society. Jane Hunter graduated from Antioch University with a Master of Arts degree in Psychology and from St. Stephen’s College, University of Alberta with a Master of Arts degree in Pastoral Psychology and Counseling.

Jane Hunter is the author of Psychological Abuse of Married Women: Experiences in the Cayman Islands. In this important book our awareness is brought to the invisible wounds within the psychologically abusive relationship and how society tolerates it.
